Travel systems — selling offers and packages

A travel system sells an offer — not a “contact in CRM”. The offer has a programme, dates, a board variant, a seasonal price and an allotment. The client or the agent books a concrete trip, pays a deposit and receives a voucher. A date change and a cancellation return to that same offer, not to a separate inbox.

Why a web shop does not sell trips

A tourist offer is not an SKU. The same programme has dozens of dates, adult/child/single prices, a last-minute promotion and a hotel allotment that disappears on Thursday. The agent earns a different commission than website sales. Confirmation, the passenger list and the voucher are typed by hand. The season starts and the catalogue, the price list and the bookings no longer match.

Modules

What sits in this process

Offer catalogue

Coach tours, holidays, city breaks, last minute, events. Each offer: description, programme, photos, board and property variants, publication status. What the client sees comes from the same record the agent sells.

Package builder

Offer composition: nights, transfers, insurance in the package, optional extras (optional excursion, flight seat). A composition change has a version — the current package is sold, not yesterday’s leaflet.

Seasonal prices and allotment

Prices per date, age, room type, currency, promotion. Allotment at the property or the operator: how many places remain on that departure. Sales does not promise a place that is gone.

B2C and B2B sales

Website, call centre and agent panel. The agent sees the same offer, a different commission and their own bookings. The client — the chosen offer, party size and payment status.

Offer booking

From enquiry to confirmation: participants, variant, deposit or instalment, document list. Voucher and confirmation come from the booking, not from a hand-made Word file.

Changes, cancellations, partner settlement

Date change, supplement, withdrawal under the offer rule. Agent commission and settlement with the property or organiser are calculated from the same booking.

Integrations

  • Deposit, instalment and supplement payments — bound to the offer booking.
  • Mail: offer, confirmation, voucher, pre-departure reminder.
  • Hotel or operator availability API when in scope — otherwise allotment is held on the platform.
  • Reports: offer sales, package margin, conversion, date occupancy, sales by channel and agent.
  • Passenger-list and document export for the property or the carrier.

Directed solutions

  • Tour operator — own catalogue and package sales for the season.
  • An office with an agent network — the same offer, a separate commission and a B2B panel.
  • Incoming / DMC — a package for a foreign partner and settlement by group.

Example first stage

One offer type (for example a 7-night holiday in one property) on one channel: catalogue → price list for season dates → booking with party size → deposit → confirmation and voucher. Acceptance: allotment does not go below zero, agent and website sell the same package, a seasonal price change does not require editing a PDF. Next stage — a second channel, commissions or an extras builder.
